Birthday Girl

I just love how this turned out...and this last year has gone by so fast - it's still on the fridge.

Sweet, sweet happy girl. I wasn't quite ready when you came a week and a half early. But then you've always made your own schedule. You couldn't wait to play with Xander and chase after him. You've always been more interested in playing than eating, but you always take a break to come climb in my lap and give me a hug. You are so independent and love to be outside. One day I'll bribe you to quit sucking your thumb. But for now, I love you sweet girl. You make me happy every day.

I'll keep at it with the avocado, coconut
and now cheese, whole milk
and whole milk yogurt

I prefer my children to
learn bad eating habits
MUCH later in life :p

but I welcome any suggestions :)

The Easter Motherload

I do realize Easter was over two weeks ago. But...here ya go. We definitely had a fun time. Xander loved looking for eggs and finding toys and candy. He never seems to have enough puzzles!

Finally got me some

of those Texas bluebonnet pictures I want to take every year. I thought it was kind of funny two other cars pulled off to the side of the road the same time we did. No smiles from Maggie, but we still got a few good ones.

...and a few not-so-good ones :)

little rascals

This is what they've been doing today during "naptime" (Xander never actually went to sleep). It looks like Xander put everything from his bed into Maggie's. Just wonderful :P

Booty Call

Um, yeah. Even in the age of adjustable-waist we get almost a full frontal of Lightning McQueen.

:D I don't even know what to say. I'm so mean!

Simple. Chewing on Xander's toys makes her happy.

picking the dandelions :p

And last but not least, the notorious front-tuck. Poor kid, it's just in his genes. His dad was a mighty big fan of the front-tuck himself. Nice job on the shoes though.
